With over 20 years’ experience in financial services, Tim Jones and Karen Mayer launched Cogent in 2007.
They aim to deliver a highly personalised independent financial advice service to clients.
Both Tim and Karen are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and qualified to advise on pensions, investments, mortgages and protection.
Tim leads the delivery of advice to clients with Karen providing a technical planning resource.
Cogent charges a fixed fee for its advice service.
We provide you with a free of charge initial consultation to help us understand your financial objectives.
During this meeting, we will confirm how we can support you in fulfilling your objectives, discuss our initial advice fee and your requirement for an on-going advice service.
Our initial advice fee is based on the amount of time we estimate is required to provide and implement a recommendation.
When clients opt-in to Cogent’s on-going advice service, Karen works with Becky Hedderman to keep clients updated on the value of their pensions and investments.
